The Bus Driver is in and out of buildings and the bus throughout the day and will have exposure to outside weather conditions. Assist, accompany or supervise residents on outings, as needed.
Reports weekly to administrator Performs special projects and assignments which may not be recurring. Makes sure bus receives annual safety inspection. Conducts daily/weekly vehicle inspections. Makes sure bus is adequately fueled at all times. Maintains the appearance and function of the bus, reporting any malfunctioning equipment to their supervisor. Operates hydraulic lift to move wheelchair-bound residents onto and off of bus - Secures wheel-chair on bus. Transports residents to and from their destination in a safe and timely manner.
